With all of the hassle and complication of international travel currently, Zephyr has been doing a bit of domestic reconnaissance to find the next great yoga retreat location. Well, we think she has done an excellent job finding this gem. Zephyr is so excited to invite you to her latest discovery right here in her own back yard. Join us for a pampered English getaway with no Amber or Green light worries, no quarantine threats and no crowds as you spend 5 nights and 6 days at this private 3000 acre sanctuary in the south of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Just a mere 2.5 hour train trip (London Kings Cross to Skipton) will transport you to an oasis of tranquility, nature and a touch of English indulgence as you spend your time exploring the history of Broughton Estate. Your home for the week is a 16th century Manor House with 13 beautifully appointed period bedrooms, formal dining room, library, conservatory and everything you would expect from a beautiful English manor house.
The Tempest family, who have owned the Broughton Hall Estate for the last nine centuries, have recently conducted a bit of a transformation of the property by re-wilding the traditionally arable farmland (over 500k trees planted) and creating a sanctuary for well being called Avalon. Avalon is a modern multi-function spa and Yoga Shala just a five minute walk from your bedroom in the Manor House. The stunning backdrops to the Yoga rooms, the steam room, sauna and treatment rooms as well as the delicious and nourishing menu will make this location one of Zephyr’s most sought after for retreat goers. Zephyr is thrilled to be working with the Tempest family to welcome you to a truly magical location for a Yoga Retreat. The Yorkshire Dales is a gorgeous and convenient backdrop for a retreat, but the history, luxurious decadence and amazing food are the true highlights of this retreat. This summer, bypass the hassle and confusion over international travel and discover Avalon with us at Broughton Hall Estate.
Avalon is a purpose built spa and yoga facility on the property of Broughton Hall Estate. Its attention to detail, beautiful decor and modern architecture would stand out in the most exotic of luxury hotel locations. In the Yorkshire Dales it is an absolute treasure. Your retreat with Zephyr will also include full access to all of Avalon’s fabulous amenities, including:
We have a lot planned for your time with us at Broughton, with its miles of walking trails and stunning views you could spend your whole day just ambling along this part of the Yorkshire Dales. Once you have rolled up your mat and are buzzing with inspiration from one of Zephyr’s Yoga practices we will have you out for some wild swimming or a relaxing moment in the sweat lodge built in the middle of a forest. Once the sun goes down we will have a Champagne apero whilst we listen to a local historian give details on the area, the Manor House and its significance in English history. For an evening of a little more excitement join us in the fire temple for music and socialising or if you’re more inclined, find yourself on a silent hillside in a bathtub counting shooting stars and bathing in the summer moonlight. For those warm afternoons there’s always an option to get a game of croquet going or if you are feeling energetic, you can organise a game of tennis or a dip in the pool. Whatever you fancy, Broughton is yours for six days of escape and relaxation.
The price of your room includes a 5 night 6 day all inclusive retreat experience with:
Please note, the Manor House is old and decorated with period furniture that is themed for each room. Each room is steeped in history and is a unique and particular design as this is a house, not a hotel. Some rooms are larger than others and the pricing reflects that. Most of the below rooms can all be shared (double occupancy) or be reserved as a single occupancy. In the event of a room having shared occupancy of a couple or close friends (sleeping in the same bed) the price will be indicated. As these are large, period rooms with grand King and Super King beds, the option to have shared occupancy and have a smaller (double) bed added to the room which will always have a King or Super King, is also available. The price for the smaller bed will be slightly less than the rate for the person sleeping in the King or Super King.
**Please, when making your booking give us your first and second preference for room and sleeping option. We will do our best to accommodate. Please be aware rooming preference will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, so don’t delay!**
