Loving our Neck & Shoulders in Practice
In this practice, we will use the technique of a Buddha Smile to influence the breath to be more loving and kind than our normal thoughts and actions, to attend to the held stress and tension in our neck and shoulders.
Smiling is hardwired into our bodies and minds to give us dopamine and oxytocin. This trick, to facing what is causing us pain, is a useful tool to practice with, as we learn how to hold it in a safe, loving awareness where we can trust and let go of what is not service us any longer.
